A one day smooth water rafting trip through remote Tarkine rainforest.   Enjoy 17 km of the magnificent Pieman River finishing at the old gold mining settlement of Corinna.  Guides, equipment, lunch and transport included.

This trip is an exclusive wilderness experience groups of up to six people.   King River Rafting can meet you at Queenstown, Zeehan or Corinna and return you there at the end of the day.

The Pieman is one of Tasmania's largest river systems.  Harnessed now for Hydro Electricity we access the Pieman River below the Reece dam and raft through 17 km of Tarkine wilderness to Corinna, an old Gold Mining town and now the only settlement on the lower Pieman.  This section of river has no rapids and flows swiftly and regally through untouched forest for our 17 km trip.  We have a light lunch as we float down the river, enjoying the serenity of the wilderness, the soaring eagles and the sounds of the hidden forest birds.  Once at Corinna we enjoy the hospitality of the Corinna Wilderness Lodge before returning across the Pieman River on the famous 'Fatman' Barge and returning to Queenstown or Zeehan by bus.
