COVID-19 (coronavirus) Update

The Tasmanian Government have announced the Roadmap to Recovery to get Tasmania back to business after COVID.  Stage Two https://coronavirus.tas.gov.au/families-community/roadmap-to-recovery may commence on Monday 15 June 2020.  In partnership with Tahune Adventures we are enthusiastic to get you back on the rivers as soon as we possibly can.

At this stage we are planning to be operating at Tahune running the Picton River Classic on weekends from Saturday 4 July 2020.

Our team at King River Rafting is committed to business continuity and client support during this challenging time.

We have been closely monitoring the evolving situation and have been briefing our staff on a daily basis.

The approach and decisions we have made to date are focused on the health and wellbeing of our clients, staff and the wider community in which we operate.

To continue operating in the current climate, we have implemented a range of additional operating practices which include:

  • Increased hand wash facilities on the King River
  • Controls at Tahune include:
    • Only private transport to Tahune
    • Keep groups to less than 12 guests & less than 6 guests per raft.
    • Transport leg to river < 15 minutes in small bus
    • Wet suit gloves available on request
    • Wet suits, thermals & boots all washed & dried between uses
  • Continue to monitor Government announcements in relation of COVID 19 situation.

As with previous influenza outbreaks, our business will continue to practice high standards of personal and equipment hygiene.
